PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING
If you are like most couples, you will spend more time planning your wedding than any other event in your life. You will pick out colors, choose the wedding party, decide who will sit with whom, plan your honeymoon, and pull together a myriad of details that boggle the mind. First Baptist Church, realizing the profound importance of the couple preparation for marriage, requires that all couples complete a prescribed pre-marital preparation program. The BABBCENTER also provides pre-marital counseling as a part of our counseling ministry. Regular fees apply for pre-marital counseling sessions. You may also be asked to complete an inventory such as PREPARE, and the nominal fee for the inventory will be communicated to you before it is administered. During pre-marital counseling you will learn how you and your future spouse deal with key relational issues, how to capitalize on your strengths, and work through possible areas of conflict. This investment will help you begin your relationship on solid foundations. The pre-marital counseling sessions at The BABBCENTER fulfill the requirements for pre-marital counseling for the state of Tennessee.
Why should you consider pre-marital counseling?
- One out of two marriages don’t last.
- Your marriage is one of the biggest commitments of your life.
- We often bring significant unconscious “baggage” from our past into our current relationships.
- Most brides think that “he will be different after we are married.”
- Most couples have major relationship conflicts within the first months of their marriage.
- Many couples are surprised by behavior after their marriage they didn’t see in the dating process.
- What you believe about God, family, habits, interests, sexuality, and love can draw you together or pull you apart.
- Many couples believe that conflicts they have will “magically” be worked out after marriage.
Give pre-marital counseling as a wedding gift to the ones you love.
